Let us tell you about a tale as old as time, the story of humanity passed down from generations to generations: the perilous and eventually lethal journey of a man searching for immortality.
Unbeknownst to him, his epic quest became legendary and the recollection of it has been narrated and transcribed over centuries and millenials.
URUK, A CITY BUILT ON OPULENCE
Mesopotomia is often referred to as one of the birthplaces of humanity. Irrefutably, this is where the first forms of writing and scriptures have been discovered.
As human prowesses were blossoming, cities of large opulence ruthlessly ruled by fierce kings were blooming all accross the land.
GILGAMESH & THE EPIC PURSUIT OF FOREVER
Emperor Gilgamesh, one third, divine two third human, was the fierce ruler of the city of Uruk. Surrounded by the finest things and living in complete excess, Gilgamesh was on an eternal quest for something beyond the mortal world.
Facing against terrible ennemies, helped by divine intervention, Gilgamesh was on a mission to find the only thing he was missing: the sacred flower of immortality.
DEADLY QUEST, LEGENDARY TALE
Gilgamesh sets his focus on this divine gift, abandoning his homes and travelling through all of nature's landscapes: forsts, mountains, deserts, beauches... Feeding off of the humble riches found on his path.
Then suddenly, a glow at the bottom of the lake. Without a second thought, Gilgamesh dives in only to find himself attacked by agiant snake. The ruthless king died after the attack, the flower got stolen by the monster, immortality disappearing forever.
As irony (or fate) would have it, Gilgamesh's journey became the first story ever written down, etched into clay tablets in humanity's earliest script. His legend endured, ultimately granting him the immortality he had long pursued.
