Mathilde Bijaoui has been fascinated by the world of scents, especially spices and food smells, since the age of thirteen. One year later, during a visit at the Osmothèque in Versailles (international fragrances' conservatoire) Mathilde had a revelation : she wanted to become a perfumer in order to play with smells and to reinterpret the nature's scents.
Her inspiration & universe : the rythm of Brazilian Bossa Nova ; the simplicity of modern dancing gesture that she reproduces in minimalist refined creations ; the scent of Orris, Vetiver and Cardamom ; travelling and meeting people (she was especially touched by the children in Madagascar) ; modern art (Miro, Giacometti) ; going to the markets in the South of France ; the energy of New-York City.
